Former Bihar chief Minister Karpoori Thakur awarded Bharat Ratna

Former Bihar chief minister and prominent  socialist leader was awarded Bharat Ratna posthumously .The Rastrapathi bhawan announced that Thakur will be give Bharat Ratna on 26 January 2024 and announced on 23jan 2024.Thakeeri Thakur also was known as the jannayak for his effort to strength the backward caste .his born was extremely backward class (EBC) his community was nai community .
Some information related to him 
He was born on January 24,1924. He took the part of india quit moment with Gandhi ji .during this moment ,he was  imprisoned against British regime .After completing movement ,he  won the his election for first time in 1952 and since then he never lost  single his election during his career .
He served as a chief minister  from December 1970 to June 1971 and December 1977 to April 1979 . Karpoori died on February 17, 1988 .

Prime minister Narendra Modi paid  tributes to Gandhian socialist leader and said in comment on 'x' social media platform that I am delighted that government of India has decided to cofer the Bharat Ratna to great jannayak Karpoori Thakur jee in his birth centenary .The prestigious recognition is a testimony to his enduring effort as a champion for the marginalized and stalwart of equality .

Lets us start some awareness of Bharat Ratna
Bharat Ratna is the highest civilian awards of the republic of India .it was instituted in 02jan 1954.
 First awarded  first deputy president of india and  in later president Dr sarvepalli Radhakrishna in socialist ,CV Raman  in science and C Raja Gopalchary  former chief minister of Tamilnadu and last governor general of British domain  in 1954.
Last awarded in 2024 to Former Bihar chief minister Karpoory Thakur posthumously .
The awards was originally limited to achievement in the arts ,literature ,science and public service but government expended the criteria to include any field of human endevour in December 2011.
The recommendation for Bharat Ratna are made by Prime Minister to President. With maximum of three nominees being awarded per year .
The recipient receive Sanad (certificate) singed by the president and peepal leaf shape medal . 
There are no monetary grant associated with the award .total receipt awards granted upon 49 individuals including 15who were awarded posthumously .the original statutes were not provide for posthumously award but we're amended  in January 1955 to permit them .
Former prime minister Lal Bahadur Shastri become first individual honoured posthumously .in 2014 cricketer Sachin Tendulakar was received the award at the age of 40years and he became youngest recipient.
On 26Jan 2024  former CM of Bihar was awarded Indian civilian honoured . This name announced by President of india Mrs Dropaudi  Murmu .on
