Why do Maldives want to remove Indian soldier from Maldives

 Recently ,Maldives president announced and shared on social media platform that India have to remove its soldier till 14march 2024. But questioned it why so it want because recently PM of india Narendra Modi visited own self island lakshdwip  and  he requested all tourist of india that they don't go out side country for tourism if my country have so attractive place .

The senior official’s an-

nouncement was made

even as the India­Maldives

High­Level Core Group —

set up when Mr. Muizzu

and Prime Minister Naren-

dra Modi met on the side-

lines of the UN climate

summit (COP­28) in Dubai

— held its first meeting in

Male. However, a state-

ment issued by the Minis-

try of External Affairs after

the meeting made no men-

tion of a request for Indian

troops’ withdrawal. In-

stead, it noted that both

sides discussed “finding [a]

mutually workable solu-

tion to enable continued

operation of Indian avia-

tion platforms that provide

humanitarian and medvac

[medical evacuation] ser-

vices to the people of

Maldives”.

In contrast, the press

statement issued by the

Maldives’ Ministry of Fo-

reign Affairs said: “Both

sides expressed willing-

ness to intensify coopera-

tion and agreed to fast-

track the withdrawal of In-

dian military personnel.”
